The Isle of Man

A flourishing Infrastructure you can Trust
The Isle of Man
Although the Isle of Man is a dependency of the English Crown, it is not, and never has been, part of the United Kingdom.
The Isle of Man is situated in the Irish Sea equidistant between Britain and Ireland. Although the Isle of Man is a dependency of the English Crown, it is not, and never has been, part of the United Kingdom. The Isle of Man has its own democratically elected parliament known as Tynwald which is the longest unbroken parliamentary government in the world, having been established for more than 1,000 years. This ensures that we have complete autonomy in all domestic and fiscal matters.
Her Majesty the Queen is the Lord of Mann, and Head of State. Her personal representative on the Island is His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, who is appointed by the Crown for a five year term.
